Meet Dr. David Crank

Dr. David Crank has lived in North Carolina since the ripe old age of four.  Theoretically, you could call him a transplant, but pretty much all of his memories were made here in North Carolina.  Growing up at the Outer Banks gave him a love for outdoor adventure and fresh air, which he has never quite gotten out of his system.  After finding himself “stuck” in the piedmont of central North Carolina for a little over twenty years, he and his wife decided it was time for a change and looked for a lovely mountain community to call home.  Dr. Crank is excited to bring his family to the High Country and to work with the fine patients of High Country Dentistry.

Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Crank earned his Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Greensboro College and taught Spanish.  He changed gears later on and decided to go back to school to become a dentist and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.  It was in dentistry where he found several of his passions come together – a love for learning science and technology, the opportunity to care for others, and the ability to apply artistic attention to every detail.  Dr. Crank is dedicated to providing his patients comfortable, top quality care.

David has been married to his wife, Rebecca, for 18 years.  They have three wonderful children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors as well as making music on the piano and guitar.
